Lucy Takes A Hike!

Yesterday was Lucy's first walk at a park. She had a great time with her new friend Aneel. He is two weeks older than her and he is a cutie! We have to post a picture of him (with his mommy's permission of course!).

Today Lucy took her first hike at Mandeville Canyon near Brentwood. She did really great considering she had a meltdown in Brentwood. we had to stop the car,change her diaper, and walk her around, and still she screamed like hell! we decided to put her back in her car seat and hesitantly proceed with our plan to hike. I am so glad we did because she appeared to enjoy it. She was very alert staring up into the trees and the sky. There seems to be something about the sound of the wind and the rustling of the leaves in the trees that calm her. We think this is going to be a weekly outing which is very exciting for her mommy and daddy since they stopped these hiking trips when mommy got pregnant. Since we plan on going to Yosemite for Thanksgiving we better start walking again. Lucy's parent's shamefully dragged their weak legs on a measly 1 hour stroll of a hike!
